Romanticism

I think I liked Irving the best from this section. His selections were just, interesting. Meleville was way too boring for me. Moby Dick was all about Whales ... I don't care about whales. Poe - Poe's poems were just really weird and creepy to me. Plus, Poe is overstudied. I remember Poe from like 5th grade.Yes, I know, Irving is also studied around then too, but, Sleepy Hollow just held my interest for some reason. What can I say, I'm weird.

I liked Irving the best, because his stories just held my interest. Poe was a little too creepy for me. His stories and poetry was wonderful, just, not something I'm into. I could not follow Melville at all. I'm sure his poetry is better than "Moby Dick" was. A book about whales. I just can not see how an intire book can be writen about a man and a whale.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was just enough mystery and suspense to hold my interest, with out being too over-the-top. Plus, I just liked the horse. Which one? The black one.

Keep going keep going ....
